Finally got to do the big 30 mph, 3.5 mile run to the ramp, launch and retrieve our 23' Sceptre with the new to us 2014 4WD Tacoma double cab. It performed pretty much as expected, compared to the Wrangler it rides smoother, and the Taco pulled the boat just fine with the Class 3 hitch I installed myself. The longer wheelbase and slightly more restricted sightlines were a minor inconvenience at the ramp, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Didn't have to get the tires or wheels wet, which I liked. Pulling out I tried 2WD and got some wheel spin, so switched to 4WD H, and she came out nice and easy in low gear. Best thing was that my wife said, "I feel better pulling the boat in this." Which counts for a lot!
