When I checked online yesterday on my new policy, GEICO still had agreed value $12000 for about $250/year which is the same as last year. YAH Don- I hear you about insurance companies. I had a ’68 Corvette for 30 years insured for about $15k when it was totaled. I figured it was only a paint job away from being the avg- good retail of $18k. State Farm paid out $11k for a car I bought for $3900. I had a few thousand in parts and lots of my own hours put into maintaining it. On one engine rebuild the only original parts were block, crank and connecting rods- went a bit overboard, but thought I might never do it again and I didn’t, but it sure ran good!
