Re: 20 foot SF vs Master Angler
I had, past tense, a 79 Master Angler. My best friend, present tense, has an 86 SF. I have had the pleasure of both (I use his more than he does). Personally, the SF has less room up front because of the larger poling platform. The MA has much more room up front for moving around though, there is a tad less storage in the front compartment due to the fact that there is only one. The MA has the baitwell in the rear where the SF does not. The ride is comparable on both of them. The MA has a raised cap where the SF does not, not really making much of a difference in the wetness of the ride as both boats have/had spray rails on them, which by the way I suggest highly. His SF has a LARGE console where mine had a smaller but, much more usable console. I like the MA simply because it has more usable room inside if you are going to be doing any offshore fishing. If it is the flats or shallow areas you are intending to fish, and want the use of the larger poling platform up front, the the SF would be the way to go.
