Default Re: Fishing in Florida

Really depends on what type of fishing you would like to do. If offshore is your thing, you definately want to fish the east coast. Port Canaveral has been producing good amounts of a variety of fish. Kingfish, Cobia, Dolphin(mahi), Sailfish, and wahoo, just to name a few. I would recommend a good friend of mine, Capt. Scott Goodwin. His website is FISHTRAP.COM. He is by far one of , if not the best captains at the port. Gauranteed to catch fish and great with the kids. There are more Tarpon and Snook over there, although the east side produces mass amounts of Redfish in the Mosquito Lagoon. Hopefully this helps a bit with your plans. If you decide to book with Scott tell him Brian Meyer sent ya. Good Luck and Catch em up!!
