Re: trailering vs. keeping your SC in the water
I also keep mine in a slip and have been keeping boats in slips for 30 years or more. I enjoy all that has been stated above, especially when Im not fishing, I can go down and just "hang out". Shoot the stuff with everyone else who does the same and "piddle at the same time. I am lucky in that I slip at the mouth of the Cheasapeake bay and have quick access to the largest artificial reef in the world (chesapeake bay bridge tunnel) and the ocean is just as close with more different species of gamefish than probably anywhere. The downside is that I cannot readily trailer down to Oregon Inlet or Hatteras like some of my friends do but I can always 'ho with someone else when I want to go !!! The other down side is that I have to haul twice a year and scrape barnacles from my running gear. BTW- the micron extra I applied this spring still lloks brand new after several months now and I would recommend to anyone keeping their boat in the water. craig
