Strick, could be the engines, a friend had to go to dual filters with a Johnson engine. He could not run both engines at the same time, I don't know why he would do that anyway?
I run both from the same tank, but carry the Honda 3 gal tank in the engine well just in case, have never needed it. Someone? told me once that if you run both engine from the same tank the Coast Guard required a standby type tank, don't know if that if true or not. The Honda and Mercury use the same connections.
