Chuck, if you are adding a bracket and filling in the transom, the best way to do the hoses is to install a s.s. barb with a female end on each side, all the way through the transom. It has a nut and washer on each side, mount it high. Hynautic and Seastar both make them in various lengths, 1", 2", 3" etc. Then, you use the same hoses to get to the transom that you have now, and add 4' rs to go from the transom to the cylinder. You can just run them through the rigging tube on OMC and mercs, but the yamaha rigging tubes and the transom sleeves are not large enough in diameter to accomodate all the engine, fuel, electric and shift cables along with the hydraulic lines. saves some $ on buying new hose sets.
