Default mercury 115

Gentlemas

I'AM LOOKING FOR A NEW OUTBOARD AND FOUND THIS MERCURY SALTWATER 115 FOR LESS THAN $5,500.
ITS A GOOD BUY? DID SOMEBODY HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE?

There is no problem that I know of with this engine. I do know some Mercury gearcases make some noise with a stainless wheel on them but they say that is normall.

I had a 2000 115 opti om my mako 17. We got off to a bad start because I blew the motor the first week. But sure enough mercury replaced the power head free of charge. After that I never had a problem. It was a great motor,the only other problem after that was me cracking the hull on the mako, but warrenty got me a new boat.
