Default Could use some ideas??

I just bought a '76 20' SF, that needs a new floor and was wanting some advice: should I leave the transom alone or raise it 5", when the new floor goes in should I try do anything different with the Livewell and where the bilge access and old "lift out ice chest are". Got some pics but don't know how to post!

I don't know what kind of fishing you like to do so that would make a difference. For me, I redid the floor for a specific purpose which was to make a flush deck (raised it and added scuppers for fast drain no matter what the sea conditions. Also added two built in fuel tanks (40 gal ea.), put in a smaller and a larger insulated fish boxes. The smaller is flush to the deck. The rear coolers?? was both removed and made the deck flush to transom. Most our fishing is deepsea so we carry lots of ice so insulated boxes are great. Will try to send in some pics but I don't have a digital yet.

I re-did a 20" cc 1971 3 years ago. My one main regret is not building up the transom and adding a bracket. How heavy is yr engine? Do you plan to fish in rough conditions? back down on fish?

Thank's for the input. My main concern is whether or not to raise the transom that extra 5". I'm on a tight budget here too try and get this thing up to par. Currently it's got a 86 200 Evinrude on it- gonna try and sell it and go with a newer Yamaha, Finding a 25" shaft might be a little easier. Not gonna be fishin in too rough of sea's, or backing down.

Serenety-- sounds interesting bout taking out the old bilge access' bet that gives alot of room in the aft area, but i'm gonna do alot of relaxing in this thing so, i'm thinking of just adding cushions to the seats, maybe a tackle locker??

I have another problem....I've got the original big center console that I want to redo, but putting a t-top that runs along the side of the console is not gonna leave any room to walk by. Been trying to find a t-top that mounts to the console but not to sure how sturdy it's gonna be..
