Default fix or replace lcd screen

The LCD screen on my Furuno 1610 combo blew all but the bottom inch. I still get depth, but that`s it. Been trying to source a used one . Runo wants 300 clams for a new one and I only paid $125 for the darn thing.
Can they be fixed?
Thx,
GFS

Hey Sandy,
Assuming it served your needs, I think I'd fix it. You've already got it wired and have a transducer. I don't know if you'll find the same caliber for anywhere near $300. Besides there are already too many pollutants in the dumps, here and in China. In my case the manufacturer sent me a new unit with fresh warranty.

Scottish= cheap.
I love the unit. The sounder is insane. The Comm. boys n girls use Runos for a reason! It`s 9 yrs old but is rebuildable, and the gps isn`t Digi yet, but upgradable.
There is a ding in the bezel faceplate that cracked the bezel screen and diagonal lines are vectoring from there. Got a new bezel , but that didn`t solve the problem. Definately the lcd. Anyone know of someone who can fix them , or a source for a used one? Surf is down here.
Thx,
GFS

I like Furuno, too. Well if Scottish = cheap why the hell can't anybody give a nice bottle of single malt from some Glen???

OK here's your solution
