Default 79 23' CC Questions

I've got a question pertaining to a boat I've recently found. Some of you may laugh and some may not but here it goes. The boat hit a submerged piling at speed and blew a 2x2 ft. hole dead center in the aft portion of the hull. It came through the bottom, through the floor and punched through the bottom of the splashwell below the deck. If you open the hatch in the splashwell, you can see all the way through. I'm just wondering if it's something worth fixing. The boat needs a total resto anyways (floor, possibly a transom) and I'm no stranger to glass work. I'm just curious what everyone's opinion would be on such a project. The hole in the bottom of the hull just makes me a little weary. He wants $1800 and it's sitting on an aluminum trailer.
