Homeboy,
Go to the "Performance" section of this forum and you will find a post there called "Prop Pitch Calculation". Tons of links there for you to see. John

Hey Homeboy
I've been experimenting with props on my '73 20 CC. I am running a johnson 150 Faststrike. When I got the boat it had a three blade SS with a 19" pitch. RPMs in the range of 5600 and cruised comfortably at around 2800 if I remember correctly. I tried out an OMC Renegade Offshore 17" and it ran up my RPMs too high. I have a Renegade 19" that is sitting at home waiting to get mounted. Next time out I'll run it against the original three blade and see where it gets me. I'll let you know what I find. What are you looking at for props? Scot

I have a 20' CC with 175 Johnson and found
15 x 17 to work best. I tried a 14.5 x 19 SS with a cut and I would not get top end or a good hole shot.
