Trailer Parts

Anyone know a good supplier of trailer parts in the Boston North Shore area? I would like to replace the whole axel/hub/tire assembly in my old trailer. Would like to buy them assembled so I can torch the old stuff off and just "bolt on" the new stuff (2 axels). Looking for a good price with a good supplier.

Also - if anyone has some words of wisdom on the subject (like you are crazy and you are better off buying new!) - they are welcome.

I went out bought New lights -reflectors - Bunk carpet - a few nuts & bolts -rollers, Put My trailer in the paper sold it, bought a New one(tandem , Allum. , SS.
Before I did all the work ,Gave the New owner the trailer & bag of Goods !!
Best & easiest trailer re-build !

New Girl(Seacraft) New carraige !!

GO NEW !!
Next week it'll be !!!!!!!!!!

If the trailer is a galv. one, all I can say is, been there, done that, wish I has bought new. When I sold the boat with the trailer, it sold better but the guy that bought it went and bought new Alum. and sold the galv. trailer.

WOW - looks like everyone has the same opinion here! The only problem with new.....$3,000 for a Load Rite! ouch!!

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a new one up around here?

I just bought a Float-On for my 23' inboard and think I got alot of trailer for the money. A 6000# rig with single brakes, all aluminum and stainless w/ exception of the wheels (galvi..)was about $3500. I do intend to use it often and looked at it as a long term solution. The local rep. is in Grey, Maine, The Cove Boat Works.

North East Marine in Oxford, MA is a huge distributor for Load Rite, Magic Tilt, Venture etc. etc. THey have a "serve yourself" section of their yard that has very reasonable prices on scratch & dent or semi-used trailer parts including, fenders, rollers, brackets, axles....etc. Plus, if they dont have what you are looking for in their "serve yourself" section.....you can always go into their parts department and order brand new stuff.

Lastly, if your trailer is an EZ Loader......you may also want to call Barrett Marketing (their number is on EZ Loader's web site). They can fax you a drawing of your trailer - you'll need to know the model number or VIn number - with all parts numbers listed, and you can tell them what you need and they can ship it directly to you or to an EZ Loader trailer.
