It's hard to match the old piece because of the round corners. The jig for that piece is long gone. I think Taco made it back when for Seacraft.
Without dumping the piece You have, you can fare the pits with "EPOXO 88" a fast setting epoxy compound (6 mins) made by FASCO. It is used for multiple marine applications Urethane, metal, fiberglass, foam, glass and wood. Then have it powder coated or painted awlgrip, Imron etc to match your hull.

Good question, I went round and round on this too.
I guess my opinion is to glass that well and transom joint real good, a lot of people say you don't even need to trim it.But, with mine I needed to trim it out because the 2 colors. I tried a few ideas, but what looked best was some stair nose trim I got at home depot, it's just light ga. stainless easy to mitre cut, cheap, and looks clean. Bill |

I used aluminum angle from Home Depot. I don't think it's anodized but it seems to hold up extremely well. After I got my GW, I put the stuff off. In two years....not one single pit. When I repowere I replaced it again w/ a bit larger piece.
I think it cost me less than $10. Dumped about a whole tube of 5200 under it though....
