Default Tsunami / Sceptre helm seat question

I threw out the original helm seats on my 1975 23' Tsunami and really would appreciate if anyone has them still - to pls provide the overall width of the seat.

I am looking at a nice pair of Pompanette's, but they might be too wide for the boat. The arms are about 27" wide, - side to side !

Thx...

Anyone ? Those measurements ?

Also, I have seen some pix of the original SeaCraft seats w/ fiberglass boxes/seat mounts for the Tsunami/Sceptre and there are these (2) wooden things on the back of each seat attached by hinges - what are they for ?

Abl111,
I had the todd chairs onmy Sceptre and they measure 23W. They fit ok but you may have to remove one or both arms to get the pompanette seats to fit.

Default Tsunami seat measurement, pls

I had psoted this awhile ago, I am trying to figure out what the max seat width is that I can fit in my Sceptre without the arms extending too far into the companionway.

Anybody have info ? Thx. It's just that I have a good line on some pompanette seats, but they are off a big sport fish and the arms are 27" wide - that seems wide !

Thx

Alan,
Since it looks like no one knows the original width, you may want to measure from the inside edge of the gunwale to a point towards the center of the boat that you're comfortable with and use that as the max. seat width. If you had the storage boxes like in the newer Sceptres, it would be as easy as making sure the seats didn't extend beyond the boxes.
