Default need trim/tilt advice

. I went to trim my engine up today and the trim motor dosn't even hum. About 3 weeks ago it was humming but wasn't going up. Finally I pulled up on the skeg as my wife was trimming and it engaged. Today I added fluid and charged batteries but no hum. Is my unit shot? Where can I get a new one? And is it easy to do? I own a 79- 20' SF with a 96- 175 Evinrude and when this hurricane passes and the ocean lays down the bite will be on. I need this fixed. Thanks!!!

Default Re: need trim/tilt advice

check if you have power going to the trim/tilt motor. on my old evinrude, there are 2 relays and fuse in a black box about 4" x 6". check the fuse. the wire to the motor comes from this box
