Default Permission to come aboard?

I spent last two years fantasizing about buying a boat, doing a lot of research on the web on different boats and trying to find the perfect combination for my family. After running through Whalers, Makos, Edgewaters, etc., I got hooked on the idea of a classic Seacraft thanks largely to this site. The dedication, enthusiasm and committment on display is truly impressive and inspiring.

Duly inspired, I recently took the plunge and bought a 1977 23' Sceptre with 92' 5.7 Mercruiser I/O and 02' outdrive. Two weeks in and I have been very happy so far; not a shred of buyers' remorse.

Also, I am looking for louvers for the side rear air vents. Any ideas where I might find two?

Thanks

Welcome aboard Freeman to CSC...

I'm happy to hear that your done "Fantasizing" and got the real deal, (I think Finster still carries his Sears Catalog on board) but you need not to forget to proudly display the "1977 Potter Built Decal" while wearing your "Classic SeaCraft.com Tee shirt" right off the press

BTW: You can score your side vents just about any quality marine store such as West Marine/Boat US or Boater's World..

Good Luck with your new (Classic) SeaCraft

Be careful. This SeaCraft addiction can be difficult to control. One of the most common side affects is the spouse rolling her eyes when you detour to look at a boat you saw that might be a SeaCraft.

Default Welcome aboard !

You have found - as a newbie myself- a great bunch of very knowlegeable guys, who have been there and done that on boats -

These guys talk about in depth repairs, and going out in weather, that I wouldn't have imagined from average boaters.

Having been around boats myself for the better part of 30 yeas - you found a good spot with lots of info, and a good boat to do it with !

Watch out - it's contageous !!!

Bill
