Default fuel tank

i have a 1988 seacraft walk around i was just wondering as a general question how long should the fuel tank last in this boat was wondering if i need to be worried about having to replace it soon.

Probably getting close.If You have an inspection plate/deck it
would be wise to check it out. You can wait till You smell Fuel while Your offshore like I did. I just opened the hatches to let as many fumes out & headed back. [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] Take some Bilge cleaner with You if You prefer the latter. Mines a 83 it was a couple of Years ago.Bout 20 years ? a lot of corrosion was everywhere on the tank. lotof pinholes too.

mine is a 89, the tank was pitted bad where it was foamed in. Went ahead and replaced it. I bought a new 134 gallon tank, epoxy painted for under 700 delivered. Les

1985 Sceptre replaced tank last year, about 20 years I think your pushing it.
