Peter-
looks like fiberglass with the trim around back mounting area. Good floatation chamber.

There estimate of "list" price is pretty high....I've priced both the Seamark and the Armstrong (with extra wide 52" chamber).....not even close to $4800 list.

Is a Potter/Seamark bracket. Has to be at least 10 years old. Sold for about $3000.00 new.

Nice call Don. Gotta love the fact that the bracket is "new" on EBAY. Everything can be new, right

I was gonna say that sure looks like a seamark or Armstrong has changed the way they make brackets. Seems like a good deal at any rate.

I wondered about that too.
I've found that people throw the name Armstrong around generically like calling a soda a Coke. Or worse yet. Bearing Buddies. ![]() |

So, what I am hearing is that this is is decent deal for a good bracket, but no bargin basement deal.
Also, I am shaking my head over the obvious misleading statement to the seller. i am going to send him a note and will let you klnow how he responds.

Yep.....by the time you add shipping you're getting close to the cost of a new bracket....and as stated that one is probably 10 years old.....it doesn'gt look like it was mounted, but then the mounting holes could have been repaired....
