Last week I bought some Scrimmed and Scored sheets to repair my front deck with...which side faces the sky(scrimmed or the scored)?

It would depend on what material you are using to bond it to the lower skin. If you are using a thin runny material scored side down will leave voids or air pockets. If you are using very thick it won't, and it will give you a smoother surface topside to work with if you are not going to re-use the top skin you pulled off. It also depends on the crown if it is a convex steep crown you may not be able to go scored side down.

Hey I.T.
Had a thought that may save lots of time in the long run. How about making a half pipe with ends and putting the hull in it and covered w/ HDPE then fill the void w/ great stuff foam to support it when taking it apart. Might wanna run this by Strick et al. This might eliminate sag and cap allignment issues. GFS |
