Any input would be appreciated. Picture album attached (sorry for all of the pics, but these are the best I have for now). |

Missing the album.....???
I'd love to see pics of the fish boxes and fuel tank layout...that's a lot of things in the space. |

Beautiful boat!!! Great Pictures.
MY 2 cents on where to price the boat would be at the 8-10k mark depending on where you live and the close up condition of the boat. The used boat market is very poor right now and some people will be scared on a 1998 Optimax (the second year they were out). I have a 1998 Mariner Optimax and love it. Just my 2 cents |

8-10 seems very low to me for this boat. Also forgot to mention that both tanks are aluminum and 100 gallon tank was replaced in 2001.
Any other input? almost 300 views but very few responses... |

Most buyers look at 2 values that are known commodities. Motor and trailer.
For example your motor and trailer combined are worth approx. 5200 to 8000. Low wholesale to retail. 50% or more off the electronics. The rest is up to how much the market will bear. Check the past listings and I think you will get an idea of where it should be. This is just my opinion.

I was in a similar situation recently. I called several people who had actually seen my boat in person and knew a lot about it for their input. I then paid the $25 listing fee and placed a straight-forward 'for sale' ad in the appropriate section.

![]() Sceptres for some reason sell for less than CC's or WA's. Maybe it is just a supply/demand issue, but if you look, the same boat in a Sceptre, it usually sells for 10-25% less than a similiar condition CC. The bad news is if your trying to sell one, the good news is if your trying to buy one. If it is in exeptional condition, price it where you see fit, if someone is looking for an exeptional boat, they may pay it, but you may wait quite a whiie. 8-10 is probably close the the "selling" price, you might ask for 12 or more, but there are a lot of these out there in the 4-8 rangs. |
