Default livewell removal in 20sf

has anyone with the in floor livewell removed it before? i think mine is leaking at the thru hull. i want to take it out and put a strainer down there and reseal the whole thing. i think it might be cabosiled to the floor and stringers? if thats the case that means its in there. it has been out before because around the perimeter of the well its got screws in it. ill post pics tomorrow when i see the boat.

65 Bowrider has mine. Best thing I ever did. All systems for that become clear. Mine is an `89 so not sure that translates. Check post wide open for b4 pics.

How do you take it out? Have to cut it out? I thought the screws were just for the "lid" with the smaller opening in it, but never tried to give it a tug I guess. I want to remove mine and just leave the bilge access, as I will be using a leaning post style baitwell (and that would be a nice hand hole to plumb the dang thing, too).
