Default Sceptre to CC conversion

Has anyone done a sceptre to cc conversion on a 23 I have been looking at a 23 hull that the owner started to convert and got as far as taking the boat down to a bare hull. Is there any real difference in the two when there just a bare hull? any insight would be great

Yes it has been performed. Search for Deuce conversion. Nice project and very nice boat.

Thats what im sayin. The boat has only the hull no deck and no cap. I want a c/c with a bracket, not really sure this is the ideal project for me, but the thing that had me intrigued were two things one, it was originally an i/o so it has the crown on the transom that looks so nice and I have an idea about cutting up the casting deck in favor of a forward seating arrangement. I dont know if its even feasable to do the forward seating on a 23 but that would be an ideal layout for me. Is there a way of putting in a new floor and cap without making a plug first?

done it... forget the cap, leave the cabin and put a console in, very nice and works out pretty well.

Ryan,
Rock on! Do it!
I would like to find a 25 Seafari and do a CC with a small forward cabin. I did that with the 21', haven't enclosed the forward face yet. Kind of like the older Contender 25', or the Dusky 25. You get the best of both worlds
