Over the winter I bought a 20' 1978 MA. Where the floor meets the hull there is large open seam. The inner hull liner is carpet that extends down to and into the seam. At some point in the last 30 years someone applied some kind of caulk into it that has fallen out in a lot of places. What should I do to seal this area and is it necessary? Thanks,
