Tried to search for topic..but no hits....
What is the best way to remove light pitting from the aluminum windshield frames......sanding???? buffing???? what type of buffing compound etc...etc??? Any help appreciated. -FRED

the easiest way to remove the pitting is to remove the windsheild frame altogether

![]() I think filling it with some kind of fairong compound is the only way to fix it....I'm intending to try the alumaprep, alodine and awlgrip prime/paint. Since I have them off my Tsunami working on them should be easy enough. |

I had my frame off the boat and the glass removed and used a razor scraper & WD 40 to lightly scrape the pits off. It cleaned up pretty well, I tried a bunch of chemicals but found the above cleaned the pits off rather easily.

The woody wax products work pretty well, leave it on for 24 hours, then use copper steel wool to rub it down...
