On my 23 inboard I always have water in my Under Deck Storage and my Ice/Baitwells. I was thinking about using a liner type thing to keep everything off the bottom and hopefully drier.
Has anyone used this before?? www.dri-dek.com I got a sample and it seems pretty good - but expensive - $5 a sqft. Any other recommendations? Thanks. |

I modified an old plastic bread pallet (tray) for my 23 anchor locker. Everything sits ~ 3/4" higher and is contained by the sides.

Occasionally, I have seen a similar product in Sam's Club at a better price. http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...=5&item=392482

I use it in the stepdown and on the cabin floor on my Seafari. Works well, helps to prevent wet feet in sleeping bag!

Depends what kind of tools you have and if you want to do some work.
You could buy some composite board like Atec at a box store, cut some strips and grid them out. Being that you are in cold right now it would not cut into your boating time.

I like that idea. I have the boat trimmed in Teak and I could carry that through to the storage areas - without the maintainence.
The downside to doing that is my OCD will kick in and I'll be using the Milling machine to fit the lattice together. It is cold outside - but warm in the shop. Hmm, Project or not to project that is the question. Thanks for the help, Gentlemen. |
