Little did I know but the local landfill will let you hop on their scales. '73 23' CC, alum bracket, Yam 250 2s, t-top, alum trailer, 1/3 (40 gal) fuel, 6080#...with '07 Dodge 2500 CTD crew, 12,350# I think my new trailer will have brakes on both axles

Yep, but it does a nice job pulling it. That's heavier than I estimated.

Great idea!!!! I paid the extra for brakes on all four wheels when I bought my trailer a few years ago, SS disc. Saved may ass towing through Key Largo one night a while back when a drunk woman pulled out in front of me, I guess she was drunk or just stupid, however since we got so close to hitting her I do know she was ugly. I would have never stopped without the trailer brakes.

I was going to do that myself, but just to varify the boat is 6080 lb. correct? How much of that is trailer? 1000 lb?
