Gee Terry, That looks mighty fun. Congratulations on the splashing! The Stroker sounds smoooth! Look forward to the numbers report. What prop are you running there and where are your tabs positioned on the holeshot? Very cool!
Have a great weekend. ![]()

Looks great, Terry, and thanks for the vids, so much more information in a video. Can't wait to see performance numbers.
Something I don't understand, maybe somebody can explain. Both Stricks vids of the 25 and Terrys of the 21 show the wake pealing off at a very sharp angle to the boat. If straight out is 90 degrees, this is more like 20 degrees. Its very different from other boats wake (I haven't looked at other Seacrafts). Most boats, the wake peals off at 45 degrees or more. Even extreme deep V hulls don"t peal off so sharp as these. I noticed this with Stricks vids and have been watching other hulls since. The wake on these Seacrafts looks different from other hulls. Its very noticeable once you look for it. Why do these hulls do this? Seems like it should be more efficient, but is there another reason? |

Terry, she looks great! Runs REALLY flat, so you must have her balanced real well, or you had the drive trimmed in a lot! I think you'll be really impressed with the ride when you get it into some rough seas! I love seeing that chine out of the water with the slight bank! Quiet running too - did you put any sound absorbing stuff in the engine box? Looking forward to hearing the performance numbers!
Connor, regarding the narrow wake and it's sharp angle relative to the transom . . . I wonder if it's because the boat is hydro-dynamically very narrow when you're really honkin' . . . most of that outer panel is completely out of the water!

Terry,
It looks like you have nailed the CG. That hull is really steep `n deep up front. The steps are in line with a straight edge drawn forward. Magic. Release the surface tension. I think Carl and Jeanne might want to go for a spin. What prop were you running? I have a 15.380 x 17 Mirage+ , but you have to come East to try it. Maybe a little South as well. Cheers, GFS Denny, I have a source for Pappy Van Winkle 20 yr. |
