Default New Member - Just Bought a 1988 20' Fisherman

Last weekend I picked up a 1988 200 Fisherman in great shape. Came with a 115 HP 4 stroke Johnson on a Armstrong bracket that had electrical / computer issues and is dead. I'll be removing that in the next couple of weeks and parting it out.

Talked to someone today that is selling a 135 Merc. They gave me the heads up on this site. I am going to purchase the 135 Merc.

Just browsing around looks like there is a wealth of information here.

A little about myself - I am from Western MA. I've been in boating since 1981. Since then I've owned 20+ boats. Currently I have a 28' Carver Mariner, a 18' Celebrity, and now the 20' Sportcraft.

I am a licensed captain, (50 Ton Masters). Both the Carver and the Celebrity are docked in freshwater on the CT river. I drive a 53', 50 passanger tour boat part time.

Plan on running the Sportcraft on Long Island sound in CT next year.

Hope to gain some information on this boat as I have nothing right now.

And being in Florida you get to enjoy them a lot longer than I do.

One of the bikes is my wifes - she rides also.

It was either we were moving the Carver to the shore, or I was buying a boat for Striper fishing. She's not crazy about the ocean, so I bought the Sportcraft for spring and fall stiper fishing, with occasional during the week trips in the summer thrown in for good measure.

Yes, I do. I ride my Intruder year 'round, as long as the temp is above 28*F.

I am actually an administrator of a Suzuki Forum as I had a Boulevard at one time. I still have a Volusia and a Victory, wife rides a Yamaha.

But back on boats, I'm really liking the lines of the Sea Craft boats - very, very nice
