Default How to post Pics Now??

With the new platform, how do you post pictures? Seems like big PDF with post, but only as a link (See below). What about JPEG? How do you post them? And what about picuture hosting by another site such as "Photobucket", etc.

Trying to learn and us the new system format.

Thanks,

Jim

When you post you have TONS of options

Easiest way is to upload from your computer using "manage attachments"

Keep in mind there are size restrictions and they are listed when you post

It seems like the files, if JPeg have to be microscopically small. How many KB was that picture you posted? Most on my picture files are approx 2MB. That is a normal size, not gigantic.

FWIW, I tried to post using the "manage your attachment" tab, but just couldn't get it to work.

Not complaining, just trying to learn the process.

Most JPEGs have the extension .jpg. The limit for those is 97.7k. These values are all variables and can be adjusted. On one of the boards I service, there is even a category for uploading MP3 audio files. This software is very versatile and can be configured for whatever this community needs.

Having done a few of these flips now, I have to say this one has gone exceptionally well. After a while all of the bugs will be worked out and that primitive old board you had before will be a dim memory.

There are some really good picture resizing tools online for those big files. They will bring them right down to the required size and the quality will be fine.

Link? I'm sure other members would like to know where to do this if the size limit continues to regulated and remains so small.
