Default Seaterm 2012

Hello all,

This is Basswacker; I had to create a new account.

I just got back the 19th from a 6 week training cruise with Massachusetts Maritime Academy. We left buzzards bay on Jan 8th and headed towards Charleston to bunker up. After leaving there we headed to the Panama Canal. Going through the Panama Canal was such a great experience I can’t even explain its nothing like I thought, we were anchored in the bay waiting in line with about 70 other ships. We then docked up in Costa Rica for a weekend and then headed to Ecuador. We crossed the Equator and I went through the shellback ceremony. (The ceremony of crossing the Line is an initiation rite in the U.S. Navy and other navies which commemorates a sailor's first crossing of the equator.) After Ecuador we headed back to Panama City for a weekend and then went back through the Panama Canal. Then we went to St. Thomas for our last weekend. I also went to cinnamon bay on St. Johns which is the beach Kenney Chesney films his music videos.

now i just need spring so i can start working on my boat!
