Default rolling gel coat?

what roller type will give the best (smoothest finish)? finishing my transom outside skin.

Not to sure on roller but thin it out a little bit so it doesn't get rough also I might be mistaken but it might help to tip it with a brush will help with finish product

Short nap rollers. Some 3/16 or 1/4" nap. Try some foam ones but make sure they don't dissolve first. And don't roll too much. It needs time to self flatten before it kicks. Ask me how I know.

That is perhaps the best advice. Although at least transoms are easy to sand because they are flat -if you want a cosmetic finish.

Given choice when replacing a non skid deck would you roll gel coat or paint?

roll it in awlgrip,with grip tex...
