Default motorwell drains on a 20 sf

one thing on my boat it has a large access to the bildge pump ect in the motor wellk with a clear plate I sont think is original anyway with 2 guys in the stern water will enter the well drains and can drain into the bildge I need to jeel the acces easy to opep and get to thew pump if needed and have thought about a watertight hatch possible but till them I always put plugs in the drains while running so I was wondering if anyone ever installed ball scuppers on these like the deck drains
