Hello all,
Might be purchasing a new Venture aluminum trailer (double axle) rated for 5900 lbs. The dealers all offer setup for the boat but mine will be in the water and it will be hard to measure the chines/hull. Anyone have a newer venture trailer with bunks that can measure the bunk distance, winch distance on tongue, and height of the bunks (front/back)? Help is greatly appreciated! |

I have a 2011 venture, but I won't be home until Tuesday to measure.

That's cool, I can certainly wait till then! Thank you for the help.
One dimension I left out too, is how "high" the bunks are which is probably easily told from what bolt holes are used or not used on the brackets. Thank you again! |

You want the chine about an inch above the fenders. |

Width = 47 to the inside of the bunks, 53 to the outside of the bunks.
The outside edge of the top of the bunks are 10.25" above the front cross member and roughly 9.25" above the back cross member. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ended up going with a Road King, 6200 lb capacity and 2' longer than the 5900. Gentlemen at Boat Brokerage in Mashpee, MA had it as a one year old trade in and I got it for a steal I couldn't turn down. I am going to adjust the bunks to what Big Shrimpin posted and see how it looks.
Thanks again for the help! |
