Default Top cap/ deck advice

I took the top cap/deck off my 23 inboard, need to replace core. I reinforced the deck with 2x4s all around - lifted off and flipped. Should I be worried about it distorting? The plan is to recore with coosa and get back on the boat within a few weeks.

Did the same. Does your have foam? I took out the foam and replaced it. One thing I regret not doing and for me for “looks” is that I did not cover the foam up with some fiberglass . Although you can’t see it underneath I wish I would have done it

I am not the smartest member here, but I think you should be OK supporting in somewhat of its original shape. But...

Did you support the topless hull to keep it from splaying open for the next couple of weeks. Know what I mean?

Michael.

Search supporting hull while cap removed, ie., splaying. Important.

Yes you should support the hull so it won't open up due to the cap being off
