Default Tsunami /Sceptre: Where does this part go ?

I was looking in the anchor compartment of my 1975 Tsunami and saw a part laying there that I could not figure where it's home is. I beleive it lives somewhere where I located it...

It's a stainless rod, approx. 1.5' long, roughly the diameter of a dime ( or a nickel ), w/ threads and a nut on one end and on the other end, a pc of flat stainless on a hinge, approx 1"x2" that has (2) holes that look like they would fit exactly on the inside of the threaded trailer eye-hook.

It looks like it's a support of some type that mounted to the eye hook on one end, and for the life of me, I cannot see where it would mount on the other end ?! The bottomside of the deck somewhere ?

Any ideas ?

ABL,

It's most certainly a lifting eye that is connected to a centerline cleat on the deck and to the bow eye directly below it.

It serves to unitize the upper deck/cap and the forward hull so it can be lifted from above. It's not mandatory, but a nice option. I doubt that it's a SeaCraft factory option, but you never know. This is a stern assembly, but you get the idea.

Otto,

That must be it. Mystery solved. Thx !

My boat does not have the lifting eye cleat, but it does have a hole in the deck w/ a flush, s.s. ring around the hole ( I had no idea what the hole was for ). I guess a lifting cleat was there at one time.
