Default Swim Platform ( full size ) on i/o Tsunami

In order to keep the 'future wife' happy, I have promised to look into mounting a teak swim platform across the stern of my i/o. We 'beach it' a lot, and although I'm fine w/ a ladder/small platform of some sort, I can understand her wanting one.

Drilling holes into, and covering my brand new transom job !!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention it's a fishing boat !!!Aaaaaaaaaaahhhh !

OK, I feel better.

Anyone have a swim platform mounted like this ? It seems that the platform would be mounted very high up the transom and would need to have cut-outs for the tops of the trim tab 'pistons', maybe for the top and bottom ( when fully tilted ) of the Bravo outdrive too ? How does this work-out ? And, how does it look ?

If it looks like sh_t, I will not do it. Period. Future wife or not.

What other ladder/boarding options have I got. The owner before me had drilled into the side of the hull, bolted (2) SS ladder hooks for a removeable ladder. Looked terrible, so I filled, faired and gel'd - I would never do that again.

Thx,

Alan
