I have a 1974 20' CC That has been in the process of getting restored for quiet some time. I am considering moving on from this project due to allot of personal reasons. At this point the boat is getting ready for final paint and hardware. To date the boat has had the following done to it.
Stringers- completely replaced front to back re-foamed with new pvc chases built in for ease of running wires and cables Floor was completely rebuilt and raised 3 1/2" front hatch was removed and the floor is all 1 height. Hull was reinforced on the inside with fiberglass to be able to remove the thin inner gunnel piece. Gunnels were widened to 7". Top of gunnel was stiffened to be able to stand on a solid surface. The Transom was completely replaced and rebuilt from the inside and raised to accommodate a 25" shaft. Rear hatches were raised to transom height. Custom built Live well was installed into the floor under where the leaning post would go. Bottom paint was stripped. Everything was faired inside and out. The list goes on. Now the idea is to paint the boat Ice blue with a whit bottom and a black boot stripe. What the boat needs is a new console built for it, a motor with all the trimmings and leaning post. It is setup to accommodate a Tee Top. At this point I probably have around 8-10K into this project. And it is going to cost me a significant amount more to paint the boat. The question I have is does anyone have a guess as to what might the boats value is in the current condition before I invest the additional money for the final paint. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the current condition at this point and am just looking for a rough idea. I'm not to sure where the market went to for these boats in the last 4-5yrs. If anyone could shed some light i'd really appreciate it. To give you an Idea of the craftsmanship and the overall look of the boat it will be similar to Mark's 20CC. |
