My FICHT has developed an issue, I want to see what you guys think.

What its doing is when I go to start the motor you hear it spin like its not spinning the motor but its spinning. I try several times and eventually it spins the motor and starts the engine.

A John Deere tractor mechanic that goes to my church thinks I just need to put some lubricant on the bendex, but I cannot see how I can do that as it appears the starter is completely enclosed.
