Default OK - New sources to look for boats...

Boattrader, Yachtworld and Iboats have been pretty good for doing searches but even under the best conditions, they may only turn up 25% of the boats. So what I want to do is compile a list of local sources to search for boats. I've bookmarked about 20 decent sites so far but figure there must be some better sites that are more local & regional to each of us that could help my search and other's searches down the road. Especially in the Northeast.

For example, in Rhode Island we have OSO.com

In CT & NY there is bargainnews.com

I'm wondering what other sites are local to all of you in finding the used boats you are looking for or for others that may wish to search your area... At this time, anywhere from the Carolinas north (Florida probably has more than the rest of the east coast combined). It gets a little tough crusing the marinas and side streets looking for the right boat (although I've found a few Dusky's up here in Rhody )

Once this list is compiled, I'll add it as a weblink and/or dump it into a spreadsheet...

Thanks,

John

HA JOHN R.
JUST A BIT IN INFO TO PASS ON. I KNOW OF ONE OF US SEACRAFT JUNKIES THAT BOUGHT THE LIST OF EVERY SEACRAFT BOAT REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. HE ACTUALLY MAILED THEM A LETTER TO SEE IF THEY WERE INTERESTED IN SELLING THEIR BOATS. HE TOLD ME THAT THE INFO IS PUBLIC RECORD AND CAN BE GOTTEN FOR A SMALL FEE. I DON’T KNOW WHICH AGENCY YOU WOULD CONTACT, BUT THERE’S ANOTHER SOURCE FOR SEACRAFT.

Jeff - I used to cheat a lot and go to wantads' site, see if there was something I was interested in and seeing that they didn't publish the contact numbers (protecting the income of the weekly) I would purchase the weekly. When they made you pay the same subscription price online, I stopped buying online or offline - guess I gotta buy it now

Thanks fellowship - that might cause a sleepless night...

Anyone have any good local papers or bargain hunter type periodicals that have local boats for sale?

Thanks,

John
