Default Evinrude under Bombardier

For those who may be wondering...

My mechanic at Ship Shops in South Yarmouth, MA www.shipshops.com relayed some good news when we spoke the other day. He says that approximately 4800 Evinrude Ficht engines have been sold since Bombardier took over. Of these, only 4 have been sent back with issues (oil feed problems due to errors in the installations). None have had anything more than that.

I have long since signed a check for the sale of my 225 'Rude and the sale is complete. I feel there is solid crediblity in what he told me.
