Default Transom time

Since its a great time not to be at the office, looks like the holidays may be the time to redo my transom. I've got a 20' Seafari. This board has been an amazing resource & is one of the reasons I would even consider this.

Question is, most of the pics & descriptions are from guys with center consoles &/or outboards. Since I've got an I/O that I'm not quite ready to replace, I've got alot more structure at the stern. Looking for suggestions on where to start cutting in on the deck & cap. Or should I try to pop the deck up & get at it that way? Thanks in advance.

Pics would be great from anyone who's been there.

Murph,

JW has been there on a 20CC I/O. he can provide you with some pictures. You will have to make cuts somewhere. You can't really pop off the whole deck (you could, but don't). Look for wide flat areas without a great deal of contour. Think about how you will put it together, and fairing it out.

Hey Jim

I see excessive hard work has been done in those pictures but only two empty brewskis. This ratio does not tally up

the tally works just fine for me: two photos taken, two bottles consumed the tally for the transom work is unrelated to the hydration needed to shoot the images.
