I'm starting on the t-top. It has a substanial amount of pitting overhead that requires at least 600 sandpaper to clean-up, but a small pit remains. I've tried several chemical and rubbing compounds with a buffer.
I'm thinking about painting it with the same paint as the console. Any suggestions? I'll try anything... Thanks in advance. Otto

Otto,
You will never get all the pits out. Even if you had it re-anodized. I would paint it the same color as the console, bear in mind a lot of prep is required to make the paint stick, or you could have it powder coated for a modest fee. Good luck, and your panels ame out grand. cheers, 'JW |

Otto,
You could easily paint it with Awl Grip. Prime with 545 primer, and paint it. The 545 will fill minor imperfections. |

Otto,
Not to step on anyones toes, but Awlgrip as well as the 545 primer will not stick to anodized aluminum. Been there done that. It will peel right off in less than a year. JW |
