Default fuel filler hose replacement

I have been doing some maintenance and am now in the process of removing the filler ,& vent hose.I have the hatch removed and all the foam out , and all clamps off.
How can I get the hoses out and new in without removing the deck?
Thanks Dave / Capexcape 20 ft cc

I removed the deck fill plate, ran a rope through the hose, threaded the new lenght of hose on the rope at the gunnel side and pulled the whole lot through to the tank fitting in one fell swoop. This was about 8 years ago but from what I can remeber it worked pretty good. The boat is a 73' 20cc. The new hose is still in there.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply.I am going to tackle it right now .
I was considering cutting in 1 or 2 inspection plates 1 on deck and 1 on gunnel low.perhaps this will help in stopping me from hacking it up.when you say "threadad the new length of hose on the gunnel side" do you mean you coupled them with a barbed coupling or how did you attach the rope ?
Thanks again Dave Amaral Capexcape 73 20cc also My concern is it is so tight and foamed in .

Been there, done that. I had the hatch off when I did it and it was sill an PITA. However, by attaching a rope with duct tape (very securely) and pulling it through, you'll be able to pull another hose back up through there inversely. If you have to warm up or lube up the hose, fine, but don't let the rope become disconnected from the hose. Try everything befor cutting holes in the boat. Mine was only 12 years old and was cracked and leaking. Have fun!

Thanks everyone for the help. The hose problem is now solved and thanks for the info,it did save me from hacking it up, now after having several boating friends over tonight and lots of light ,(literally ) shed on the tank it looks as though the tank is coming out tomorrow.Really getting deep now.
But I must admit that after running this boat after appx 10 years ,100 to 150 trips a year I know all the work is worth it.
