Hello Boys,
Well, it's been a long winter up here in MN but the boat is out of storage and I need to do a few things before she hits the water. I had a local guy rebuild my transom for me two years ago and it turned into a total hack job (uneven finish and little cracks in the finish already). Several lessons learned there. Anyway, I imagine I will need to redo the job at some point but for now I need to use as is (it has run fine for the last two years). One thing I would like to do is get through the glass on the "top" of the transom and see if the wood is dry (I'll have a bunch of follow up questions if it isn't). When I am convinced it is okay I'll need to reseal it but would like to raise it about an inch so it is as high as the motor bracket will allow. Is this a pretty bad idea? If not, what kind of material can I use to add 1" to the height? Amost back on the water... Scot ==== Temerity 1973 20' CC Duluth, MN
