Fiberglass no problem, woodwork no problem, mechanical no problem....but those stickers from hell! Do you guys know a good way to remove them. I tried a heat gun and they still come of in slivers. At this rate it will take longer to remove them then to prep and paint the boat. Tempted to use a belt sander then repair the damage

Mike try a 3M™ Stripe Off Wheel 07499 - they work really well and will not cause any damage.
It looks like a big circular eraser.

Home Depot sells a product by the name of "Goo Gone". Will not harm gelcoat, spray on and allow to sit for 3-5 minutes, will remove all stickers and the adhesive also. Even gives you a fresh citrus scent. Works great

Thanks for the help. I went with the stripe off because I hadn't seen the rest and it worked fine ,but once the stripe was off the seacraft logo had been eroded into the hull? Under the clear portion not problem, but under the script it had like imbossed itself and I had to sand deep.
Thanks, BigMike

Yep - when the stickers stay on for a while they tend to protect the gelcoat etc. and when removed they leave a raised imprint. When I repainted my boat I had to work really hard to get the oversized "FISH JACK" logo off the side... otherwise it would have shown up under the paint.
