I'm very interested to know anyones experience with brackets on a SeaCraft. I have a 32' and understand by mounting outboard engines on bracket you can increase fuel economy as much as 22% at wide open throttle. Can anyone confirm this and if so what other benefits or not can one expect from a bracket system relative to handling. My cell # is 205-799-6600 please call if you have any input.

When I put the bracket on my 23 Sceptre the fuel economy didn't change one bit. At first I lost a couple of MPH on top end, then I lowered the engine two holes and pretty much got the top end back. The only advantage that my boat has now with the bracket is it's super easy getting in and out of the boat now. IMHO if I were you I would save all that money that it's going to take to go with the bracket and put it towards new more fuel-efficient engines.

Steve, thanks for the reply, did you notice any difference in the handling?

So far we love our Hermco Seamark bracket! We can't tell if we get better fuel burn because at the same time we went from a single to twins! But it is worth the money if you are into diving, it makes it 100 times easier to get in and out!
