Just purchased a 20 Master Angler that has had complete restoration but no trim tabs. I am considering the Bennett M-120 but would appreciate any advise anyone may have on other options.
Thanks.Roger |

M120s are the right size for that boat.

Roger, thanks for the quick reply. I'll order them up this week. I'll be running this 1978 20 MA out of Mystic and my mooring in Block Island . Hope our paths will cross sometime this summer .

RJ,
Is your boat the one with a 115 Suzuki (or Honda) that was for sale in The Fisherman? I could be wrong, but I think that boat was owned by a friend of a friend of mine. |

I used the M-80's on mine as per
Tabs advice and they were fine. R |

Congrats on the boat, I'm familiar with it - talked to Barry today in fact. Back to the topic, here's my boat with the tabs done by the former owner - 20MA with M120s The swim platform is now gone and I've changed to troll n tabs though.

Scott , yes this was the MA that was in the Fisherman.
Roger, thanks again , your detailed pictures will make this a simple installation. Our boats look almost identical. I don't think I could have found a better guy than Barry to buy a used MA from. I hope to see him today at the JB Tackle Used Tackle Show in Niantic . I work at J&B a lot as it's close to Mystic and I live on the main boat there April-Nov.I'll tow the Seacraft over to Block and fish the island if the offshore bite is poor. If offshore is hot I'll leavce the Seacraft on the mooring and run the main boat offshore. Looks like you have a great trailer. I have the Shorelander that came with the boat getting refit with stainless steel disk brakes .thanks again . Rog |

RJ0208, Congradulations on your MA purchase! I have a'79 and love it, though I have not tried the trim tabs as of yet. I was always intimidated that if I tried Rogers advice, I would not be content until I had the mini thrusters, as well! LOL, Roger. How are ya?
I am a personal friend of Sandy and Marguerite of Gwenmor Marine of Mystic, or is it Stonington? Not sure, but had the tour back in October. Very cool people with a really cool family business. And what a cool tug they have! I guess their sons run the dredging/dock building side. What a beautiful part of the country. They are fellow Jersey Speed Skiff owners and spend a lot of time attending the events up and down the eastern seaboard. Best of luck with your MA! Vezo, Part II. |

Vezo, the Hatteras that I live on from April-Nov was on the hard at Gwenmor Marina when I found it. I dock right across the river just under the Railroad bridge. They are good people and run a clean operation. If you come back for another visit stop by .It's the only boat in Fort Rachel marina with a full tower.
