Default Hull Indentification??

I've read on the board here how the 23s ride so much better than the 20s. I came across a 23' cc today. The owner told me it was a '86 - last of the "Potter built" hulls which might suggest me he may not know that much about SeaCrafts. The transom had been redone and most of the sn #'s were not visable thru the fix. Are there any features that would id it as a '86 or post Potter. I suppose a look at the title would confirm it - just trying to justify the price to year.

Check the max weight / HP plate-if it's still there? My plate shows Tracker on the 18SF.

The easiest way is to check the anchor locker, if it's part of the inner liner then you have a earlier, better vintage of boat.
I don't know which company changed the design in the '80's.

Or he hopes that you don't.
