1969 20 foot Center Console running a 140 Suzuki four stroke, not sure I want to drill all the holes in my new transom for the trim tabs, not sure if a hydrofoil will improve the performance. So far my only real issue is the bow raising when I power up. I have used both trim tabs and hydrofoils in the past but not on a 20 foot seacraft. Anybody running a hydrofoil on thier 20 footer? Anybody with a suzuki 140 using a hydrofoil?
Thanks

I have the same set up as you, engine and hull and putting Trim Tabs on my boat was hands down the best add on option I have done.
I would not waste your time with a hydrofoil. good luck |

I have had a 20 for 10+ years now and the hydrofoil sucks! The boat still porpoises and the boat sky rockets when I go to take off. If I were keeping mine, I would put trim tabs on in a heartbeat. Don't waste your time with the dolphin fins or the like.

The trim tabs work great, not big fan of drilling holes in my new transom...but it was definitely worth it.
The ride has significantly improved. JW
